GEORGIA RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION SERVES UP A "TASTE OF ASIA"
Dine-Out Week Highlights Asian Cuisine
ATLANTA (April 30, 2008) - The Georgia Restaurant Association (GRA) invites diners to sample a Taste of Asia in its inaugural Dine-Out Week this Aug.10-16. Participating restaurants will provide special offers and entertainment in this week-long celebration of the Asian culinary tradition.
From sushi to samosas and pho to fusion, Taste of Asia Dine-Out Week provides a range of dining experiences from around the continent. In addition, a portion of the proceeds from the GRA's Taste of Asia will support a merit based internship for a culinary student who wants to pursue specialized training in Asian cuisine.
Restaurants participating in Taste of Asia include: Bhojanic Indian Fusion Cuisine, The Dining Room at the World Trade Center, Doc Chey's Noodle House, Eurasia Bistro, Geisha House, Grand China Restaurant, Hsu's Restaurant, Jingiogae Catering, Inc., Kani House - Johnscreek, Kani House- Mall of Georgia, Kani House- Woodstock,Katsu International, Lee's Golden Buddha, Lime Thai Bistro, Mo Mo Ya, Pacific Rim, Real Chow Baby, Roy's Restaurant, Savu at the W Hotel Perimeter, Silk Restaurant, Spice Market at W Hotel Midtown, Steel Atlanta, Straits Restaurant, Sushi House, The Tenth Thai Cuisine & Lounge, Top Spice Thai & Malaysian and Trader Vic's at the Hilton.
The Taste of Asia week starts with a VIP Kick-Off party on Aug. 8 (8/8/08),a significant day in Chinese culture, as well as the Opening Ceremonies of the Beijing Olympic Games. The event, sponsored by Coca-Cola FoodService, will host dignitaries, media representatives, event sponsors and participating restaurants at the World Trade Center Atlanta in SunTrust Plaza. Food for the kick-off event will be provided by Taste of Asia Chair Anna Hsu (Silk, Pacific Rim Bistron and Hus's) and Co-Chair Joshua Fan (Roy's Atlanta).
