About Taste of Asia

What: The Georgia Restaurant Association (GRA) invites diners to sample a Taste of
Asia in its Inaugural Dine-Out Week this Aug.10-16. Participating restaurants will provide
special offers and entertainment in this week-long celebration of the Asian culinary
tradition.
From sushi to samosas and pho to fusion, Taste of Asia Dine-Out Week provides a range
of dining experiences from around the continent. Each of the participating restaurants will
offer a special value: such as a 3 course meal for $28, or a casual dining restaurants offering two 3 course meals
for $28. In addition, a portion of the proceeds from the GRA's Taste of Asia will support a
merit based internship for a culinary student who wants to pursue specialized training in
Asian cuisine.
When: Taste of Asia week starts with an exclusive VIP Kick-Off party on August 8
(8/8/08), a significant day in Chinese culture, as well as the Opening Ceremonies of the
Beijing Olympic Games. The event, sponsored by Coca-Cola FoodService, will host
dignitaries, media representatives, event sponsors and participating restaurants at the
World Trade Center Atlanta in SunTrust Plaza. Food for the kick-off event will be provided
by Taste of Asia Chair Anna Hsu (Silk, Pacific Rim Bistro and Hsu's) and Co-Chair Joshua
Fan (Roy's Atlanta), and will feature a sampling of Coca-Cola beverages from around the
Asian continent. The Taste of Asia Dine-Out Week starts August 10th and runs until August
16th.
